After dropping new track ‘Ballie’ for the first time in his Coachella set, Idris Elba has put the track out on his own London based label 7Wallace. The self-produced ‘Ballie’ is a hefty slice of jacking peak-time energy offset with the hooky wordplay and vocals of Nigerian and Grammy Nominated MC Kah-Lo.
“Bong Ballie is slang for Everything Everything is Good. Kah-Lo and I wanted to fuse hip hop and house and she was so easy to work with. I played this tune out for the first time at Coachella and itwent off... I knew I had to put it out immediately”
Ballie is the first Idris production to drop following his recent feature on Wiley, Stefflon Don and Sean Paul’s ‘Boasty’ which has racked up over 29 million views on the video alone.
